Day One of Winter Garden 2022

I took two days off of work to have a four-day weekend mid October so I could putter in the garden. I needed to clean up the spent tomatoes. And I wanted to go to Home Depot and pick up some plants. I forgot to start my own brassicas earlier. I’ll start some this weekend too so I have more plants to rotate in.

I was really happy that I could get the second raised bed moved.

I had a lot of fun with planting up the garden along with seeds directly sown.

Parsnips, rutabegas and scallions. None survived the squirrels’ digging
Kohlrabi and chard. The squirrels did dig but I think some chard is surviving.
